I really enjoyed the comedic timing and animation style. It's obviously very rough which is why it's capped out at 3.5 but I really enjoyed this. Great job!

zachdewd responds:

Thanks, I hope to make this a movie of sorts one day!

Needs subtitles or better audio mixing. This was very funny.

TrohPee responds:

Thanks for the technical feedback!

For a YouTube intro I think this is a bit too long. I would say you could just use the first 5-10 seconds and that would be sufficient for most videos. That being said, the assets were cute. You could use more smoothing on the things that pan across the screen, as some of them were moving so slow it was almost jagged.

Keep working toward your dreams!

CosmicCutie01 responds:

Thank you very much and I'm still learning how to use Toon Boom. ^^

I kind of enjoyed this, the choice of music was comfy and overall monologue was relatable, but the problem is that I couldn't really HEAR most of the monologue because of the imbalance of volume. The music and SFX were way too loud and this detracted from my ability to hear your words. The art isn't anything fancy, but the lipsync was actually on point and I appreciated what little bits of movement there were.

Keep it up and adjust those volume levels!!

stevetherapper responds:

Thanks for your review. Think of this as kind of a warmup animation. This definitely isn’t my best animation, mainly because of the style that I used only for this one and because this was a rush to get out, though the volume imbalance is definitely fair and I’ll try to work on that for my upcoming animations. For this one, I might just add some closed captions to the YouTube version of this, so be on the lookout for that.

Thanks again for your constructive criticism, be sure to check in with my newer animations every once in a while. :)

Only giving this a 1 because it's not long enough for the movie portal. I think it would be better suited for the art portal. I like this, but have issues with the anatomy. The necks on the kids are really long, for example. Also, the clown slides up but the background doesn't move, so perhaps that was what you were going for but it didn't really come out right.

Nonetheless, I hope you will continue to upload! I love the clown!

Elraz15 responds:

i want upload it on art portal like a gif but i lost the file so put in movie, also i undertand the score so maybe next time i upload something more longest and better :)

I really enjoyed this quite a bit. I feel like you keep improving and improving. The pacing was not quite right, there were certain moments that dragged overlong or didn't quite move at the perfect pace for delivery, but especially as you continue to progress with your craft, I see the iterative improvement. I would very much enjoy seeing more of this trio, and not just because I'm voicing one of them.

Sound was inconsistent, certain lines were too loud or too quiet at different times. Keep an ear out for that in the future as well. That's the only thing that brought this from a 4 to a 3.5 after I watched it a second time.

Krasis responds:

Thanks for the honest feedback Stan, glad you enjoy it!
This one was definitely a learning experience to make and you're right that I've got plenty of room for improvement. I'm excited for what the future holds.

Great work as always. Captain's surgery went great.

TheGaboefects responds:

Thank you man, but you have to be careful with what you say!!!!
You are too important in this site, if you say something theres a good chunk of people here that would believe you no matter what!
I fear if you validate the stupid things my mind randomly makes eventually enough people believing in it will conjure a scary tulpa into the world. o.O

This feels like it could be an opening rather than a trailer. I love your style as always, you really deliver terrific work. I think this would work in one of those classic anime promo reels but overall it definitely feels more OP than trailer. Keep it up, I want to know more about your characters!!

tomonaku responds:

Yea I can see what you mean. I wasn't confident tackling dialogue and voice-overs so I tried to do without and I think that worked against me. It was fun though and hopefully I can do more. Thanks Stanpai :)

Love it!! So nice to hear my friends together in a project coordinated by yet another! Great job!
I would say there's some need for audio cleanup dealing with peaking but overall presentation was fun and the whole vibe felt very Power Rangers. I'm ready for more!

itsabluebanana responds:

Thank you. I definitely noticed some audio peaking issues while editing it; I tried fixing them as best as I could.

I think it goes without saying this was absolutely amazing.
That being said, cell phones like the one used in this cartoon didn't exist in the 1980s. Just a minor continuity thing to keep in mind for the future. Amazing work everyone!

Devoed responds:

Yes, we realize about that a few hours ago, we'll keep it in mind in the next time :D Thanks for your support!
