ok... Have a nice day :)

A fun experience. Reminds me a lot of what we used to see back in the day with parody cartoons, which is pretty on-par with your other stuff. Really liked some of the shots quite a lot, the illustrations of the characters and all that. Nice work. Even though the comedy was there I did feel like you took quite a few liberties with Goku's personality that are funny in isolation but aren't as funny in Dragon Ball context. Krillin on the other hand was just fine. Good job!

I don't want to falsely say something but I will say that I /feel/ as though Phantom Arcade's artistic and comedic influence is pretty prevalent across the site these days. Probably a side effect of the Dragon Ball collab. That sort of energy isn't really my thing and I like to see something that's really yours. It was a similar experience back in the Egoraptor days, I suppose what I mean to say is that it feels like PA is the artist of the generation.

Yoinkies.

Oh no! A conservative!!! >_<

I think the description of the video does a disservice. I get the joke but it comes off as needlessly boastful. Animation is overall pretty nice. Your watermark is in the way.

AguRex responds:

It's all about engagement.
An AI wrote that description and it promises to get more engagement and judging by your comment, I guess it fulfilled it's purpose.

And yeah, the animation is below average quality. The main anime Episode will be 1000x better than it.

Charming! Line work is very sketchy, but this was of course done in just 6 hours. Great job!

The-Vlah responds:

Thank you for the kind words, you're absolutely right about the line quality. The drawings are very rough.

Immensely charming. The animation style and overall aesthetic serve the classic game well. Very good comedic timing both in jokes and animation. The framerate as well was really well suited to this project. A labor of love that serves to celebrate and parody the source material in a tasteful way. Great use of sfx as well.

I kept thinking Harry Partridge made this.
Great part. Well produced in every facet.

ZaazNG responds:

Thank you so much Stanpai, getting compared to the legend Harry tingles the heck outta me <3

Very cool, very creative.
Wasn't sold on the narration initially because I prefer show vs tell, but it grew on me.

GAMESMADEOFCARDBOARD responds:

Thank you!

This Collab... Wow.
Watching this Collab, I felt that it was without a doubt one of the best overall Newgrounds "Collabs" ever made. The animation and art really stood out significantly, some bits being funny segments, others being beautifully animated tributes.

The biggest criticism I have is the choice to slap a pop team epic reanimated Collab on the end of this. They should have been two totally separate projects, as the PTE extends this project to the one hour mark while not offering much new to the viewer that all the other parts contributed.

I also think that it would be worthwhile to exclude the inclusion of parts specifically about IPs that already received their own Collabs in the past unless they were more crossovers.

The best part in this Collab by far was the Armstrong gym. It captures so many unique characters and their personalities while also beautifully portraying them faithfully to their original designs. Lupin part as well. Wow. Gorgeous.

I feel there was a lot of great stuff here. Honorable mention also goes to the humor of the Outlaw Star and Home Movies Gurren parts for being beautiful homages that made me laugh, everything about that Johnny Quest segment, and the Megas XLR transformation. I know I'm leaving some golden ones out but that's how many pieces were fantastic. I think this also is why PTE needed to be separated into its own Collab.

Also, please please please use more actors than just the same usual folks in everything. There are a LOT of people in the NG community that do VO- literally Corey has a whole server of them. It would be nice to hear more of them. Chris Pratt does not need to be Mario. Hopefully we will see more diverse casting in the future. This has been a problem on Newgrounds ever since the mid-2000s. Seeing the credits, there is nice enough swathe of VO credits but hopefully you understand what I mean. People like Corey and myself are booking real world VO jobs outside of Newgrounds, let's give some newbies a shot at the mic.

LuckyDee responds:

Speaking as part of said VA collab as well as VA forum mod, I'll gladly sit down with you at some point and go through your plans and ideas on how to let the spotlight shine over new faces more often. Thanks for your response!

Sevi responds:

I had much bigger plans for this collab initially but a lot of people backed out, understandably, everyone's busy with their own stuff. The collab was planned to have a menu, a few small games, and commercials inbetween entries and easter eggs and such. as far as the voice actors, we had more in the server, but Corey, Josh and Nick were pretty much the only ones that replied to the animator's requests, and it's really up to the animators to find their voice actors.

I have a real appreciation for the amount of effort that went into this. You really clearly put heart into making it all. I think this is something I would have tried making when I was younger if I had the tools. I really think you should keep making videos. Mario vs Sonic was the main event in the early and mid-2000s. I really am glad to see this in 2022.

If this is what you can do now, I can't wait to see what waits in 5 years or more.

Favorited and voted 4/5! Very proud to be your first "fan" on Newgrounds!

Swag-boss9k responds:

Thanks alot I'm glad that you like my content and now that I think about it it really does hearken back to 2000s flash animations,I have way more planned in the future this is just the beginning.

Lip sync gorgeous. Interesting take on the characters, can feel certain influences in your style. Very short of course and simple and no background either. It really was nicely made, great job Gray!

Gray responds:

Thank you homie!
